Welcome and Thank You for investing interest in Fraternity Life through the Interfraternity Council (IFC) here at the University of South Florida (USF)!!!
You will find that our fraternal community is full of organizations that develop individuals morally, intellectually, physically, and socially. Fraternal Life breeds respectful, well rounded men who use their experiences to become leaders at USF and throughout the Tampa community. Furthermore the fraternal experience prepares men for life long after graduation but encourage members to become committed alumni not only to a specific fraternal organization, but the greater USF community and the fraternal movement.
The four main ideals of fraternities are Integrity, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service. All four of these qualities are equally important. Furthermore, these are the characteristics which fraternity men strive to achieve each day.
You will find that many of our leaders around campus are members of fraternal organizations. Everywhere you turn at USF, whether it be the Office of Orientation, Housing & Residential Education, Student Government, Athletics, Office of Student Programs, Campus Recreation, the Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement, or a number of the over 500 various other student organizations at USF, you will always find a member or members of a fraternal organization involved. Currently, our Student Body President and Vice President are members of fraternal organizations. This has been the case for the past four terms of office within Student Government.
We hope that you take some time to meet every organization within the Interfraternity Council (IFC), ask questions, and find the fraternity here at USF that you will be most comfortable joining. Remember, joining a fraternal organizations in more than a collegiate commitment, but rather a life-long commitment which does not end at graduation.
If you ever have any questions or need clarification about anything, it is our hope that we will serve as your resource for understanding and are always happy to help you become acclimated with our fraternal community here at USF.
Congratulations on taking one of the first steps towards becoming a member of one of the most active student groups on campus!

Sincerely,

William Crowder

President
