  • This is a time where friendships are woven between members. Being a member of a fraternity creates closer bonds that go beyond an ordinary friendship. These relationships are created when brothers go to their weekly meetings, attend social events, and participate in service events to help out the community and bond on a daily basis.

 
  • Leadership

     

    Being involved in a fraternity will give your son an opportunity to learn how to become an effective leader and prepare him for his professional career. Becoming a member of a fraternity is one of the best ways to get involved at USF. However, just because he belongs to an individual chapter does not mean that he cannot participate in other activities on campus. Fraternity & Sorority Life will give your son the chance to apply classroom knowledge into real life situatiuons. The past six Student Body Presidents and Vice Presidents at USF are all members of fraternal organizations.

    Service

     

    One type of involvement that all fraternities partake in is philanthropic and service work. Each organization participates in many philanthropic and community service projects throughout each semester, giving hundreds of hours of service and raising thousands of dollars to support many worthy causes. This is an opportunity to give back to the community fraternites believe that community involvement also makes members stronger leaders and well rounded individuals.

     

    Did You Know? Greek Students donate hundreds of hours to community service and thousands of dollars to non-profit organizations such as Children's Miracle Network and the Brest Cancer Foundation each year!

    Learning

     

    Members of fraternities strive for excellence when it comes to academics. The fraternities at USF have programs that assist one another in achieving academics excellence. Study hours in the library and peer tutoring are just a couple of examples. Each chapter recognizes outstanding achievement through a variety of awards and incentives. There are also many opportunities to receive scholarships through an individual fraternity's headquarters. 

     

    Did You Know? Nationally, 71% of Greek Students graduate where as only 50% of non-Greek Students graduate!

    Brotherhood & Integrity

     

    From the first day that your son participates in the Recruitment process, he will make friends that will last a lifetime. When your son joins a fraternity, he will always have someone to be there for him and help him carry out the values that each individual chapter strives to achieve. When he becomes a member of a fraternal community, he has the opportunity to meet the people that will be his brothers for life. The Values that fraternal organizations instill prepare men to be better husbands, fathers, and providers.

     

    Did You Know? Greek Students are afforded networking opportunities through alumni for job assistance, advice, internship exposure, and general direction when entering the workforce!
